The Ultimate B2B Guide to Wholesale Disposable Face Towels
Share
The personal care market is going through a hygiene shift. Across Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia and the Middle East, reusable cloth towels are increasingly being replaced by disposable face towels. For beauty salons, hotels and private label skincare brands, a reliable supply of quality disposable face towels has become part of everyday operations.
The B2B supply chain, however, is fragmented. Importers often struggle to tell genuine manufacturers from trading companies. This 2026 sourcing guide gives procurement managers the technical knowledge to specify, evaluate and import disposable face towels successfully.
1. Understanding the Core Material: Spunlace Nonwoven Fabric
The quality of a disposable face towel starts with its base fabric: spunlace nonwoven. Instead of weaving, spunlace uses high-pressure water jets to entangle the fibers, which gives a soft, absorbent and low-lint fabric without chemical binders. When you talk to a factory, specify the exact fiber composition.
- 100% cotton: The premium choice. Cotton is a natural fiber that is gentle on sensitive skin and biodegrades under suitable conditions. If you need OEKO-TEX Standard 100, ask for a certificate that covers the exact material.
- Viscose (rayon) and blends: A popular, cost-effective alternative. Viscose is made from wood pulp and has a smooth, silky feel and good absorbency. High-volume retail brands also use viscose-polyester blends for extra strength at a lower cost.
2. Defining Your OEM Specifications
A good factory does not limit you to off-the-shelf products; it builds the towel around your market. Define three key parameters:
A. GSM (Grams per Square Meter)
GSM sets the thickness and feel of the towel. A standard daily-use face towel is typically 40 to 50 gsm. Spas and premium skincare brands often choose 60 to 80 gsm, which feels more substantial and holds more water without tearing.
B. Surface Texture
Texture changes how the towel performs. The three most common B2B patterns are:
- Pearl embossed (3D texture): Raised dots give gentle friction for cleansing and makeup removal.
- Plain (smooth): The softest option, for patting the face dry without exfoliation. A good choice for sensitive skin.
- Mesh (apertured) pattern: Small open holes improve breathability and liquid pick-up; often used in salons.
C. Size and Format
Will your product be a roll with perforated tear lines, or individually folded sheets in a pop-up box or bag? Common flat sizes are 20 x 20 cm for daily home use and larger 30 x 30 cm formats for professional estheticians.
3. The Risks of Buying Through Trading Companies
The biggest sourcing risk is working with a trading company presented as a factory. Many traders buy master rolls from outside fabric suppliers and pay a separate workshop to cut and pack them. This fragmented process creates real risks:
- Fluorescent brighteners: Low-grade fiber is sometimes brightened with optical agents to look whiter. Many brands and markets do not accept them in skin-contact products, so ask for a test report on the material you are buying.
- Hygiene: If the cutting and packing workshop is not a clean, controlled environment, towels can pick up dust and contamination before they are sealed.
- Inconsistent quality: When the supplier does not control the fabric, your first shipment might be soft 60 gsm cotton and the next a rougher, lighter blend.
4. The Little Cotton Approach: From Fabric to Finished Box
To reduce these risks, high-volume importers work with manufacturers that control more of the process. At Little Cotton:
- We make our own fabric. Our raw cotton fabric roll workshop produces up to 12,000 kg a day, so we control the fiber blend and GSM consistency from the first step. OEKO-TEX Standard 100 certificates cover specific materials; ask us for the certificate and test reports that apply to your specification.
- We cut and pack in dust-free workshops on automated lines, with up to 600,000 disposable face towels a day.
- We print our own packaging. Bags and boxes are made in our own packaging workshop, from the master roll to the retail-ready pack.
- Quality system: ISO 9001:2015 certified and SMETA 4-Pillar audited (Sedex).

5. Logistics You Can Plan Around
Making the right towel is only half the job; delivering it cost-effectively is the other half. Our finished products are made at our factories in Guangdong, China. Our Vietnam site in Quang Ninh is still setting up its production line.
A 20-person in-house logistics team handles mixed-container loading, so you can combine OEM face towels with cotton pads, wet wipes or other disposables in one shipment, and prepares the export documents. Quotations are EXW by default, with CIF available on request.
